February 25
CHILly Chili Fest
Annual fundraiser features delicious chili, a silent auction, and door prizes. All proceeds benefit the Joyce Uptown Food Shelf.
May 12
Earth Day Clean Up
Celebrate Earth Day with your neighbors by picking up litter throughout the neighborhood ensuring it doesn’t end up in our lakes and river. Rain or Shine.

South Uptown Super Sale
Dozens of garage sales held on the same day in the neighborhood. South Uptown does all the promotion.
June 2
South Uptown Plant Swap & Pollinator Event
10-11am (exchange starts at 10am sharp)
Location: Parking lot of Bryant Square Park
Bring any garden extras (dug up perennials, seeds, vegetable plants etc.) to share at our annual plant swap and take home something new to try. Also meet with other gardeners and receive some free gardening advice. Plants placed in pots with descriptive tags are most appreciated.

Bryant Square Park Concert Series
Kick off a season of free concerts at the park’s amphitheater. Live music is held every Tuesday and Thursday from June to August.

South Uptown Garden Tour
Free, two-day walking tour of amazing South Uptown gardens.

Bryant Square Park Ice Cream Social
Park event features ice cream, music, a bounce house, and kids’ games

Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Luke Skywalker's peaceful and solitary existence gets upended when he encounters Rey, a young woman who shows strong signs of the Force. Her desire to learn the ways of the Jedi forces Luke to make a decision that changes their lives forever. Kids of South Uptown Car Wash
South Uptown kids raise money to support park activities with a car wash. Come to Bryant Square Park to support a good cause.
August 7
National Night Out
Neighbors meet one another at block events throughout South Uptown helping to prevent crime.

Black Panther
After the death of his father, T'Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T'Challa's mettle as king -- and as Black Panther -- gets tested when he's drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Sample from 400 varieties of wines while raising money for area neighborhood associations including South Uptown.
